TheElixir
Since 1832, more than two million litres of liqueurs have been aged in Puglia, in Altamura! A presence that is certainly symbolic, but that has meaning for everyone... The particular smell of our Elixir has permeated our premises and the memories of every inhabitant of the area.
In the Striccoli family business, manual labour is a tradition. Very little automation, they always prefer to work more with men than with machines.
Each of the production phases requires the intervention of man, from the reception of the fruit to the labelling of the bottles. In the work, there is always something for everyone: physical work for the reception of fruit boxes, filling of barrels and bottles ... and so much meticulousness to fill the jars, seal the bottles and label them. Everyone’s skills complement each other to provide excellent products. For the company Fr.lli Striccoli, craftsmanship and manual work go hand in hand.
Padre Peppe is the result of the collaboration between Nature and Tradition. Nature provides the raw materials: nuts still wrapped in green hull; spices and selected herbs always in the same combination of doses. Tradition assures Father Peppe the wisdom of the ancient method of preparation and preservation in oak barrels in the ancient cellars, livid stone casings and mace.
